creaturae – Light and sound. Two living creatures, two radiant spots that pulsate with music. Sound is a wave. It reflects, resonates and fades. Photons behave as waves and particles. Light is constantly moving, disappearing and revealing the previously unknown. It is also a wave. Creaturae is a two-channel projection that uses two spherical mirrors and projects images onto them. It draws attention to the two basic qualities of light – one projected and the other refracted. The light rays intertwine and create seemingly tangible images. The artist is guided by the idea: If Light means Life, then Light is a living Creature! If light means life, then Light is a living creature itself. The first version of this artwork was first presented at the Constellations de Metz festival in 2020.
