Unfortunately, due to lack of time for installing the tech equipment and the lack of time for fine tunning the lasers, my first attempt on using lasers was a failure. I had full support from the festival, but the timeframe for setting the tech + content was just a few hours, because it started to get dark at 9PM, but the Museum stricktly had to close at midnight. So, the technical team had a few hours to set the projector, I had 1,5h to do the mapping and we had 1,5h to set the lasers… First day of the laser projection went wrong, for this reason, on the second day, I decided to shut down the lasers and focus on the generative, audioreactive content. The video above is showing the result without lasers. Conclusion: when working with lasers, minimum 5-6 hours are needed to do the setup properly…

ONDES / Lille – FR / 2023

ONDES https://vimeo.com/917215937 ONDES at the videomapping Festival in Lille, France, 2023 Universe is a vast system of vibrations. What we call vibrations, are actually waves. Where there is a wave, there is sound, just as where there is light, there is life. The way we understand existence is very much shaped by the way we perceive it. Human sensing organs are receptive to vibrations. Experiencing art is a unique method of enhancing our senses. As music is enhancing musicality, similarly, visual perception is enhanced by visual experiences. Art is enhancing perception! ONDES appeals to both visual and auditive receptors of the audience, inviting the viewers to be part of the vibrations and reverberations of the sound and light. SACRA at NoN / Melbourne – AU / 2023

SACRA https://vimeo.com/919561665 SACRA commissioned by Now or Never 2023 / Melbourne In 1923, a public design competition resulted in the grand architecture of the Shrine of Remembrance. In 2023, a spectacular immersive artwork commissioned by Now or Never reshaped the gravitas of this monument, tracing a line of its significance through our collective history. Luminous and awe-inspiring, SACRA pays homage to the memory of our antecedents. Envisioned by Hungarian artist Laszlo Bordos – one of the pioneers of 3D mapping artistry, whose work has enveloped some of the world’s most renowned buildings – SACRA brought the Shrine of Remembrance into brilliant motion with a series of sculptural illuminations and projections at a scale never before seen in Melbourne/Narrm. creaturae at SIGNAL PRAGUE – CZ / 2022

creaturae 2020 – 2022 https://vimeo.com/873484211 creaturae – Light and sound. Two living creatures, two radiant spots that pulsate with music. Sound is a wave. It reflects, resonates and fades. Photons behave as waves and particles. Light is constantly moving, disappearing and revealing the previously unknown. It is also a wave. Creaturae is a two-channel projection that uses two spherical mirrors and projects images onto them. It draws attention to the two basic qualities of light – one projected and the other refracted. The light rays intertwine and create seemingly tangible images. The artist is guided by the idea: If Light means Life, then Light is a living Creature! If light means life, then Light is a living creature itself. The first version of this artwork was first presented at the Constellations de Metz festival in 2020. concept, visuals & lighting design: László Zsolt Bordossound: Ondřej Skálalight programming: Karel “Karlos” Šimekprojectionist: Tomáš Vondráčektechnicians: Jan Hladil, Julius Štefantechnical director: Roman Dušek †office & PR: Sára Němečkovácurators: Daniel Burda and Martin Posta prologue:sound & lights: Karel “Karlos” Šimek Photo by: Viktor Schwing Photo by: Martin Hurin Photo by: Kostel Vaclava

lysyntese at FJORD OSLO – NO / 2019

lysyntese at Fjord Oslo 2019 https://vimeo.com/380934795 If light plays such an important role in our physical condition, then light art plays similarly important role in our non – physical condition? In other words, if light is so important for our biological existence, then – the artist presumes, light art is similarly important to our spiritual existence. The title Lysyntese merges two words: lys (light) and syntese (synthesis). The new art piece reflects on the process of photosynthesis in nature and aspires to create a “spiritual photosynthesis” in the experience of the artwork of light. Light Art affects people in many non-physical ways: emotionally, psychologically, intellectually. Hence light art is similarly important for our spiritual state as light is for our biological state.
